mute drop 6.0:

the metal gumby.

when we started merf. less than a year ago we wanted set out to bring you something brand new. The fully flexible gumby straight mute was that thing.

but here at merf. we don’t settle.

over the last 4 months we have worked tirelessly to design, source, produce, and assemble the first mute of its kind.

teaming up with a master metal spinner we have blended traditional mute making and 3d printing for the first hybrid metal/flex mute.

we are pleased to introduce you to the best mute you don’t own yet.

*(for trumpet)

tell me about it.

  • tunable on the fly.

    just like the the gumby.

need it soft and distant? shove it in your bell.

need it loud and buzzy, pull it back out

  • vented.

with inserted brass threading you are able to vent the mute for different affects or grab an extra pack of screws and see the different sounds those make

  • squishy top/metal bottom

the top of the mute is similar to the gumby allowing you to adjust the depth of the mute in the bell as needed on the fly.

the bottom is the opposite of flexible…being made of metal.

  • metal options
